I am me, myself, and I.

I think that my art project was not to the best of my abilities...i feel that because i basically gave up on the project it didn't really reflect me as much as i wanted to. I just think that since i spent to much time on little details i didn't get to the point where i can show myself.

  1. The way that you made the movie theater very colorful explains a lot about you. It allows everyone to have their own ideas and the blank screen shows how you have so much more to offer as you keep growing.

  2. The stage showed a lot about how you liked acting and being not off to the side. The whole area being very colorful was just like you, always bright (both emotionally and in the way you dress). I like how you left the stage blank to the imagination to develop in a way they interpreted you. Also, there's the aisle between the seats that's bright blue and guides the eye to the center and towards the stage. Overall, your drawing was very fun to look at.

  3. I really liked how you made your artwork out of a movie theater because it told me that one of the most passionate things in your life is being on stage and being watch by all shorts of people. Also, the colors that surrounded the movie theater represented who you are and that you are not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

  4. You project was really cool lexie! Even though it didn't exactly turn out the way you wanted it too it still looked really awesome! I really liked that you had all the different very bright, bold colors that sort of lead your eyes to the stage. Also having the white, blank stage gave the whole piece a kind of mystery. The white was very emphasized compared to everything else because it was the only thing that didn't have a color. Having the stage be empty made it so you could see it as you are an always changing person or that everyone sees you in a different way. Like everyone interprets movies differently, they also interpret you differently, the theater made me think of that. You project was really great and had a really cool idea! i really liked it! :]

  5. Lexie--
I really liked how you left the stage blank as I said in class. It almost felt like your like was playing for the audience and that what was playing was up for interpretation. I also really liked how colorful your portrait was. You also used great placement and proportion to show the seats getting farther and farther away or closer up.

I thought your was very creative. Even thought it was not how you wanted it to be. I think that if i looked at it i wouldnt know that it was yours but then i could see how it means you if you just think about it.

  7. Lexie-
I really liked how colorful your project turned out. The movie theater was an amazing idea because I know that you love to act. I am sorry you did not like the outcome as much as you wanted but i loved it.

  8. Lexi, although you werent as enthusiastic about your final product I thought it was fabulous. The leading lines in the theater brought you straight to the stage which is where you said your passion really lies. The blankness of the theater almost seemed as if you were trying to say that your still unwritten (haha quoting natasha bedingfield just a little bit) The colors were great and really brought the piece to life!

  9. Lexi, i really liked the way you made everything leading to the stage in bright colors then you colored the stage a dark purple and left the back drop white. made it stand out more, it also made the me think about what part of your self your trying to show and what other side of your self that your trying to hide. i really like the little details it made the picture more interesting, and i really liked the way you left it blank because it made me think about how well i really know you. Good job

  10. Your art is unique, even when it is not completed, because you used a literal thing to show yourself. To me, using a theater with a blank background to represent yourself is like a metaphor that says that there are things about you hidden behind that blank white screen that everyone can see in the theater.

  11. I Really enjoyed discussing your portrait. Your portrait like the project, said alot about you and told a lot of your story.I think thst your portrait had a lot of potential but because of time and other reasons you weren't able to finish. After listening to what was suppose to be in the portrait I thought you had a really cool idea. I tried to imagine the silloets and the banners and the slide show of your life and I learned alot. I also really liked how you incorporated the fact that you like to stand out instead of blending in by making a colorful theatre because most theatre's are very bland but my using colors that are bright and pop out you really helped illustrate your personality.
